Harleen believes she was destined to yoga. A lawyer by education, she started yoga only as fitness regime to escape the stress of her legal career. She got addicted to Ashtanga Yoga and discovered love in movement, motivation in alignment, stability in her breath, and gratitude in challenges. Yoga became her moving meditation, and her inspiration both on and off the mat.
She studied many forms of yoga, and after a few years of dedicated practice and careful mentoring by accomplished yogis, she decided to immerse all her spare time in the study of yoga philosophy beyond the asanas. Harleen is a certified teacher registered with Yoga Alliance and loves to teach anytime outside of her legal day job. She is also an accredited Rehab Trainer in Australia, and continuously looks at new ways to enhance her students' experience.
Her instinct led her to create Samasthah and it’s intimate environment for people to practice, and her vision is to empower everyone to develop their own desire for knowledge and awareness through yoga. Harleen is very excited about helping you find your own practice and passion, the way she has found hers!
Pamela
My yoga journey began in 2004, when I was looking for an alternative form of exercise to keep fit. Back then when I was working a 9-5 job (actually, it was more like 9 to indefinite), Yoga was a way for me to enjoy my 1-hour “me time” on the mat and forget about my work-related stress while I get into bendy poses. I would always leave each class calmer and definitely happier.
I love how Yoga is both relaxing and challenging and it really is more than just bending your body into a pretzel. I hope to share my love and passion for Yoga and more importantly, the physiological, emotional and mental benefits of Yoga!
Grace
Grace trained in mat Pilates, reformer and Pilates Cadillac at Pilates Bodyworks in 2010 to 2012, beginning her Pilates teaching career there. She has also attended workshops and seminars by various renowned Pilates teachers such as Alan Herdman and Jay Grimes. Inspired to train in Les Mills programs of Body Balance, Body Pump, CxWorx and RPM, she is actively teaching Body Balance which is a fusion program inspired by tai chi, yoga and Pilates.
In 2014, she took up a yoga teacher’s training course with Dr Venky’s Shivshakti yoga school (Yoga Alliance certified) and started teaching yoga in 2015. In May 2016 she completed a course on yogic methods of backache management by Dr Venky to enhance her understanding of the physical body and application of yoga for pain relief.
She is now focused on her core strengths of Pilates and yoga, mainly because she is a fervent believer in changing the body for the better through a holistic total body approach. Yoga and Pilates are foundation programs to improve the body taking into consideration the individual’s specific conditions. Training the body using Pilates and yoga concepts builds the base for each individual’s aspirations; whether for specific sports, injury rehabilitation or simply for ease in daily activities. With increasing longevity, she fully believes in utilising this base to maximise performance with minimal external or medical intervention.
Jasmine
Jasmine’s first yoga class happened in late 2010 where she was facing immense stress and unsuccessful coping strategies in the highly demanding job position as a perioperative nurse. The consistent practice in yoga allowed her to cope better with fragmentary working hours and varying sleeping patterns and timings. It has made her stronger and more flexible both on and off the mat. She was inspired further to deepen her practice in yoga and would like people around her to benefit from the beauty of yoga. This has encouraged her to take up the 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training course.
Jasmine wants to motivate people in getting connected to their inner self and explore their mental and physical capabilities through their consistent yoga practice. She also looks forward to helping students cope with their daily lifestyle at work or at home through the power of pranayama, meditation and asanas practice.
Beginning with limited flexibility and stamina, Jasmine understands the helplessness and frustrations students have when they start out their yoga journey.
As she strongly believes and live by what Confucious once said “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”.

Joanne
Joanne started her yoga practice only as a form of workout as she was leading a rather sedentary lifestyle. She suffered from poor health which resulted from depression due to work and low immunity as well as a hereditary blood disorder. Being a biology teacher in her teaching years and a dancer during her school days, she naturally grew attracted to yoga and found it to be more than just a workout. It became a lifestyle for her.
With consistent yoga practice, her health improved tremendously. Having healthier mind, body and soul, Joanne now has the energy she needs to do the things she love - travel, teach, cook and yoga!
As she learnt more about the roots of yoga, she became inspired to deepen her practice and hopes to share how yoga had greatly improved, and is still improving, her life. Now, she enjoys teaching yoga, and more so, as she continues her yoga practice as a student.
Viviane
Viviane is a self-professed sports junkie who has incorporated yoga into every aspect of her workout. She loves it when her friends and students achieve the “ah-hah!” moment upon finding their perfect balance, feeling the difference in their body performance, or hovering longer in their favourite poses.
To her, getting to a difficult pose is a step-by-step approach, broken down into good basics and strong foundation. She is an advocate of recovery and rehabilitation, especially for those who gym and exercise regularly, creating stretch-down sequences to ease muscle aches to get fitness junkies back into their workouts without pain everyday.
Friends know that they can always rely on Viviane to come up with a tough workout routine that focuses on building the body’s strength while increasing range of dynamic movement so that workouts become less intimidating and more fun.
Carol
I am a 200 hour trained yoga teacher who honors all schools of yoga be it Ashtanga, Iyengar, Sivananda. I believe that how yoga resides in each of us is different. For me Yoga unites many things that I love~ the mind body connection, spirituality, anatomy, kinesiology. The primary obstacles to my own fitness is time with her 3 boys, books, good food and good chocolate! So come find out the bigger messages that asanas and breathing have to teach, see you on the mat! Namaste!
Linda
I started my cardio exercises in the gym doing Step class, Zumba, Body Jam, Body Combat and Body Pump. It took a toll on me when I developed knee pain and doctor advised me to stop and slow down my cardio activities. This led me to switch to practice yoga for 2 years and my knee pain is gone now.
After experiencing the various types of yoga, I have a passion for Yin Yoga as I’ve seen the amazing benefits to complement my Yang lifestyle. With this desire, I am now a Yoga Alliance-certified Yin Yoga teacher, Yoga Teacher Training (with Deep Relaxation Technique (DRT) & Ayurveda) from Transdisciplinary University (TDU) and attended Dual Zone Myofascial Release (DZMR) workshop. This is to further compliment my Yin teaching with relaxation and pranayama to release stress.
My goal with teaching is to inspire others into, introducing the practice of yin yoga, relaxation technique and pranayama into their lives and making it part of a regular, ongoing, joyful experience.
Yoga is a practice that quiets the mind, body and soul, a perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are and enables you to experience inner bliss.
